Rainy vibes in Cox's Bazar-Where Rain Meets the Sea

Cox's Bazar Has a Different Charm During the Monsoon

Cox's Bazar takes on an entirely different beauty in the rainy season. One moment the sun shines, the next it's pouring. Rows of dark bluish clouds drift across the sky above the sea like floating rafts. Restless, turbulent waves crash relentlessly onto the sandy shore. The intoxicating sea breeze sends your hair dancing in the wind, while the salty air fills your heart with a strange sense of calm. Rain-washed greenery surrounds everything, wrapped in a dreamy mist.

Danger Signal No. 3 is hoisted along the beach. Red warning flags flutter fiercely in the wind. At Sugandha Beach, a few hundred visitors wander about despite the weather. From the watchtower, repeated announcements echo through loudspeakers, urging everyone not to venture into deep water. Still, a handful of thrill-seekers ignore the warnings, wading farther into the sea for a splash. The moment they cross the safety line, the lifeguards' whistles pierce the air.

It's almost an off-season scene in Cox's Bazar. The beaches are sparsely populated, and business is slow for the hawkers. Beach photographers roam around hopefully, trying to attract customers. The jeeps are there, the horses are there, the vendors are there—but the tourists are not. Their faces tell the story of a difficult season with little income.

Hotels are offering discounts of up to 65%, making this one of the best times to visit. Popular restaurants like Poushee, Kutumb Bari, and Palongki, usually packed with diners, now sit almost empty. During peak season, getting a table can be a challenge. Today, there are no waiting crowds.

The rain-soaked streets are nearly deserted. Around Dolphin Mor, only a few buses and auto-rickshaws create a small cluster of traffic. The stubborn rain refuses to stop. The heart grows wet with emotion—sometimes happy, sometimes melancholic, like a constant swing of moods.

Yet lovers of the monsoon have ignored gloomy weather forecasts and social media rumors of storms and heavy rain. They have come anyway—some alone, some with friends, and others with their families.

It's not enough to stay home listening to "Badolo Dinero Prothomo Kodom Phool." Sometimes, you simply have to step outside. To immerse yourself in nature, to lose yourself in the gentle rhythm of falling rain, to let the wild sea breeze play with your hair, or to finally say the words you've never been able to tell someone you love.

This monsoon, come to Cox's Bazar at least once—and experience its magic for yourself.

Ocean Paradise Hotel and Resort ,Cox's Bazar-A experience to remember

I made a tour plan with my family members two months ago and booked Ocean Paradise Hotel and resort from Dhaka. The purpose of our tour to celebrate the Bangla New Year in Cox's Bazar. Ocean Paradise and Resort is one of the luxurious hotels (5 stars) in Cox's Bazar.  We started our journey from Kalabagan Bust stop and reached  Cox's Bazar at 10 am morning .

When we arrived in the front of reception desk of the hotel, the hotel was fully occupied. Bangla New Year celebration was going on the ground floor's lobby. We checked-in our rooms and became fresh. The rooms were furnished and well decorated with modern luxurious items. After taking shower we went to the lobby. The lobby was full of guests and outside visitors. There were a number of stalls in the lobby exhibiting various fancy goods. Some exhibited food items such as pithas and cakes while some exhibited fancy dresses. People wore traditional Bangla New Year's customs such as Punjabi and sharee.Children were running here and there out of joy.The hotel was well decorated with flowers. Traditional Panta Bhat ( watered rice) and fried Hilsa fish were served among guests.  The atmosphere was very much charming. A troop of singers were singing Robindranath Tagore;s song-Asho Hay Boishak, Asho..Asho
